That Guy

For five long years, my heart has known,

A quiet spark, a seed that's sown.

With laughter bright and intellect wise,

You light the room, a cherished prize.

Your kindness shines when kids surround,

In your gentle touch, their joy is found.

With every joke and thoughtful deed,

You plant the hope, you plant the seed.

Smart as a whip, yet humble too,

In every moment, I see the true you.

In crowded halls or whispered tones,

In the simplest gestures, love has grown.

Though I often wonder if you see,

The little things that draw you to me.

I know in my heart, you may never feel,

The love I hide, the truth concealed.

For five long years, my heart holds tight,

To a friendship woven in warm twilight.

So here’s to you, the one I admire,

With each passing day, you fuel the fire.

In dreams, in laughter, in all that we share,

I wish you'd pause and see my feelings laid bare.
